Explore Prague in spring, a historical jewel in its true colours

26. January 2023

The Czech capital is exceptionally beautiful in spring. Our luxurious hotel in the centre of Prague is located in the Lesser Town, right in the historic heart of the city, and is unique for its proximity to the most popular places: such a walk to Kampa Island or the Petrin Lookout Tower is particularly romantic in the spring months. If you like the smell of awakening and blooming nature, a visit to one of Prague's gardens or parks is definitely not to be missed.

The Easter holidays are not only an opportunity to experience the fresh atmosphere of springtime Prague, but also to get acquainted with Czech customs and traditions. The capital offers a range of opportunities from popular markets to cruises on the Vltava River, fairs to spiritual gatherings and religious services. Visitors to the historic centre can enjoy traditionally decorated wooden stalls offering Easter goods, musical performances and demonstrations of folk crafts. Easter in Prague is an ideal opportunity for families with children to enjoy activities such as craft workshops, exhibitions and themed theatre performances.

Those who love classical music can combine their stay at the Old Royal Post boutique hotel with a visit to the world-famous Prague Spring Music Festival, whose opening concert is usually held on 12 May in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House.

At the end of spring, Prague's most beautiful historical treasures open their doors: the event called Night of the Churches offers the opportunity to visit a number of churches and religious buildings at night and for free, with concerts, guided tours, workshops and theatre performances. Visitors have the opportunity to look into church sacristies or monastery gardens, try their hand at playing the organ, climb the towers or descend into ancient crypts.
